Tuscan Vineyard Trio

So this week, I decided to challenge myself using the Tuscan Vineyard stamp set by Stampin’ Up!  To be honest, this stamp set is not my usual style with its vintagey feel, but the images are still gorgeous with the bunch of grapes being a favourite for me.  I decided to keep my cards classic but with a contemporary twist.

For my first card (far left) I layered a rich razzleberry mat on a crumb cake card base.  My brick patterned card front was achieved by embossing my cardstock with the brick embossing folder.  I just love the clean contemporary edge this embossing folder gives every card.  I stamped my grapes in memento black ink, and watercoloured them in using rich razzleberry and elegant eggplant ink on the grapes, and pear pizzazz and cucumber crush on the leaves.  I fussy cut my grapes out before tying them together with some linen thread and adhering them to a silver metallic foil doily with dimensionals.  The banner for my sentiment was cut using the triple banner punch.
In my second card, I heat embossed my grapes using white embossing powder on night of navy cardstock.  My label was die cut using the Lots of Labels framelit dies and I centred this onto some whisper white organza ribbon before adhering my card front to my whisper white card base.  I embellished each side of my label with a metal rimmed pearl.

My final card (far right) makes for a great masculine card.  I achieved the patterned border by doing some collage stamping around an oval shaped mask using the corks, wine bottle opener, grapes and leaf images in the stamp set, and stamping them in tip top taupe, pear pizzazz and elegant eggplant. I then copper embossed my Tuscan scene and die cut this out using my Ovals Framelits Dies.  I wrapped some burlap ribbon around my card front before adhering my Tuscan image using dimensionals, and attaching my card to a tip top taupe card base.  Here’s a close up of the collage stamped border, and my embossed Tuscan scene as it’s difficult to appreciate the stunning effect of the copper embossing from a photograph.

On all three cards, I stamped my sentiment from the gorgeous Birthday Blooms stamp set. I think this font pairs perfectly with the Tuscan Vineyard theme.

Hope you like today’s projects, they pushed me outside of my comfort zone in style, but in the end, I loved the way they turned out.
