Fable Friends Easter Cards

I was a huge Beatrix Potter fan when I was growing up, and Fable Friends is reminiscent of Peter Rabbit and all his friends! It’s such a great Easter stamp set for any age.

I’ve become a huge fan of the double mat layered stitched rectangle look and can’t stop using this layout at the moment. I adore all of the stitched detail framelits by Stampin’ Up! in general, but I love how the rectangles provide a framed focus to the image, and they work so well on these sweet animals.

I stayed with a gray granite card base, sentiment label and ribbon to make the main image really stand out and really like the tone on tone look for the background.

Such a beautiful, classic stamp set that works well for many different occasions xx

Sweetest Thing Birthday Cards

The Sweetest Thing Bundle is such a fun bundle to work with and perfect for making birthday cards for all ages. The How Sweet it is DSP is really bright and playful and this particular design was probably my favourite in the pack.

The design is simple so great for batch making a set of cards in one go. I’ve recently refreshed my craft room and my inspiration wall is full of hot pinks and cool teals – I think that’s why my eye was drawn to this gorgeous paper with its melon mambo and bermuda bay colour way.

I used some Moxy glitter glue by American Crafts to accent the jar for a little girlie fun – the pale pink shade worked beautifully with the pink ombre effect on the DSP.

Love love love how pretty and simple these cards were to make, looking forward to playing some more with this suite.

You’re Inspiring Watercoloured Easter Cards

I love daffodils – they are such sunny flowers and remind me that Spring has sprung!

You’re Inspiring is the perfect stamp set for Easter Cards and I decided to watercolour the backgrounds for the back drop to my daffodils.

For this springtime colour combination, I used daffodil delight, lemon lime twist, coastal cabana, balmy blue and gorgeous grape.

I decided on a rainbow background for my second card and went with cherry cobbler, melon mambo, mango melody, daffodil delight, coastal cabana and gorgeous grape.

To achieve a crisp stamped image, I white heat embossed the daffodils onto the front panel and backed my image onto a daffodil delight mat.

So pleased with how pretty these cards turned out. Can’t wait to send them to the recipients xx

Coffee Cafe 60th Birthday Card

It has been ages since I used coffee cafe and Andy, who was turning 60, loves her coffee so I knew it was the perfect set to use on her card.

To make it special and really pretty, I added some Share What you Love DSP which has a pearlised effect.

I love how fresh the rich razzleberry, crumb cake, black and white colour scheme is and adore this pretty, more feminine take on the coffee cup!

Strong & Beautiful

It is Mother’s Day here in the UK and the Strong and Beautiful stamp set pretty much sums my mum up. This is such a timeless set of beautiful sentiments, it won’t be leaving my shelf any time soon.

The Floral Romance DSP just screamed Mother’s Day to me, but it really is perfect for any elegant occasion. The beautiful print on this card is actually printed vellum, but I backed it with white cardstock to really make it pop.

The stunning floral romance seals and frosted flower embellishments finish the look off perfectly.

Wishing all mums a wonderful day today, looking forward to spending mine with my mum and my son xxx

Handmade Home Decor using Lovely Lipstick Foil

I have been refreshing my craft room in recent months and am totally in love with the stunning sale-a-bration Lovely Lipstick foil sheets. I love pink and this foil is just beautiful!

This home decor design is super simple but I love how few supplies you actually to need to make a beautiful addition like this to your home, and the best part is, it’s all handmade!

In person, the vibrant, lush foil looks fabulous against the crisp white background and frame. The white ornate frame is an old Heidi Swapp frame that I’ve been looking to re-purpose for some time, and I love how the bold pink words look in it.

Our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook Page using the Frosted Floral Suite

I hope you are all enjoying the festivities of the season and the final countdown to Christmas – can you believe it is just 1 week away??! I feel totally unprepared but somehow the tree is up, the presents are wrapped and the cards have all been sent! I’ve no idea how it all got done but I’m so glad everything appears to be on schedule for now.

Today is a very special day for my husband Ben and I as we are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Christmas has always been my favourite time of year so it seemed fitting to have a wedding to match. Some people say their wedding day is a bit of a blur, but I remember every detail of my wedding as though it happened yesterday. In fact, I can’t understand where the last 10 years have gone!

I wanted to make a 10 year anniversary scrapbook page to mark this milestone in our lives – the photos are of us then and now. And the Frosted Floral suite was the perfect way to adorn the page. I have loved using every part of this gorgeous suite.

The great news is the First Frost stamp and die set will carry over to the next catalogue, but I will miss this beautiful Frosted Floral DSP so much. The colours of our wedding were red and gold for Christmas, so I used merry merlot for the mat layers and champagne foil as my chosen metallic foil paper. Gray Granite is prominent in the DSP and with the black and white photos, I thought champagne would be perfect with its warmer grey tones.

Of course, no scrapbook page (or any page for that matter) would be complete without a little Joyous Noel tranquil tide glimmer paper. I rarely buy products when they are retiring. but I must admit to stocking up on another pack of this stunning paper!

A lot has changed for us over the past 10 years – people have come into and gone out of our lives. The most important newcomer has been our gorgeous little boy Grayson who is now 20 months old. We feel so blessed to have him. Times have been testing, but our love for one another remains just the same.

Flourish Filigree Christmas Gift Bags

Every year, my mum helps her church at Christmas time. They lay on an amazing Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings for people who find themselves on their own at this time of the year.

This year, my mum and I are organising the event together, and one of my jobs was to put together the Christmas gifts for every attendee. Such a huge responsibility!

I was pleased with the way these tags turned out. When you’ve got 120 gift bags to put together, punches make life so much simpler!

The Christmas sentiment from Flourish Filigree is gorgeous and the beautiful burlap ribbon perfectly coordinates with the tag and theme. Most of the supplies to create this gift packaging are now in the year end close out sale so take a look by clicking on the products listed below.

Making up these gift bags was such a labour of love – I adored being able to add a piece of myself and Stampin’ Up! to each and every gift. I hope they will be well received by the recipients on Christmas Day xx
