Playful Penguins

I adore penguins, and I love the Playful Penguins set at Christmas time. As soon as I spotted it in the Winter Catalogue, I knew it would be the set I chose to use to make my own Christmas cards.  The black and white penguin image is simple but detailed, and makes a great focal point.

I layered the penguin image on some Mercury glass acetate and added a glittered black organdy bow to tie in with the silver acetate panel.

The Scripty 3D embossing folder adds some interest to the whisper white backdrop and to the ‘wintery’ feel of the card.

It’s so easy to create stunning Christmas cards and tags using this gorgeous set, and with very little effort.  Can’t wait to play some more xx

Frosted Floral Gift Tags

I love the entire Frosted Floral Suite so making a set of Christmas tags using this beautiful set was a must!

I wanted to keep the colours and design of these tags less traditional and more feminine, whilst still being easy to replicate.

I opted for a rich razzleberry, blackberry bliss and gorgeous grape colour way, set against either a galvanized metallic or sparkle glimmer stitched circle.

I added a subtle silver foil sprig for some interest, and those boxwood wreath embellishments just pop against the tags. The iridescent wreath is currently on sale while stocks last so click on the picture of them below to go straight to my online shop!

Love the simplicity and winter berry colours of these tags, hope you do too xx

Another Wonderful Year Christmas Gift Tag & Gift Box Set

This week is all about Christmas tags, and these ones are super cute and easy to put together. I love the stitched shapes framelits dies and how gorgeous these square ones look layered up together.

Although I stayed with a merry merlot/tranquil tide and copper theme throughout, I absolutely love the design break with the buffalo check background stamp. So beautiful, why did I wait so long to use it?!

Having made 6 gorgeous tags, I just had to make a matching box to hold them all in!

Click play on the video below to see how to make the buffalo check tag & tag box.

Hope you love this tag gift set as much as I do, thanks for stopping by today xx

Another Wonderful Year Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Snow is Glistening Unicorn Card

The Snow is Glistening Stamp Set and coordinating Snowfall thinlits dies is a beautiful and exclusive new limited edition Set.

My idea for the unicorn card layout came from Pinterest, and as soon as I saw these intricate snowflake Dies, I thought they would make a cool and Christmassy alternative to the usual flowers you see on unicorn images.

I silver heat embossed the gorgeous tree image onto silver foil sheet and fussy cut the triangular shape out for the horn. I then sponged frost white shimmer paint onto the snowflakes to add to the wintery feel. I chose cool toned colours for this card and think the highland heather, rich razzleberry, balmy blue, coastal cabana and soft seafoam colours work so well together.

This bundle will be available for purchase ONLY UNTIL 30th November at my online store. Just click on any of the products in the list below to go straight to my shop.

Beautiful Blizzard Treat Pouches Made Using the Envelope Punch Board

I spotted these gorgeous little chocolate snowflakes in the supermarket and thought they would make such sweet Christmas treats.

The envelope punch board is the perfect tool for making these treat pouches to hold them. You could make these pouches with DSP, but I decided to make my own DSP using the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle to continue the snowflake theme. Once my cardstock was stamped, I sponged a little of the frosted shimmer paint over the larger background colour wash areas and embellished with some frosted epoxy droplets and some white ribbon which I coloured with Stampin’ blends.  The colour combinations I used on each pouch (starting at the top left hand side and working round in a clockwise direction) were: pool party & balmy blue, mint macaron & night of navy, gorgeous grape & blackberry bliss, merry merlot & blackberry bliss.

You could put a little 3″ x 4″ card in the pouch and gift them with the chocolate inside at Christmas time. Or you could even punch a hole in the top, pull the ribbon through and attach to some Christmas packages as a chocolate treat and Christmas tag in one! Love that idea! Here’s the video to show how I made them.

Measurements

  • Take a piece of cardstock or DSP measuring 6″ x 6″
  • Line it up on the envelope punch board and punch @ 2 5/8″ and score.
  • Rotate and punch at the score line on all four sides

Frosted Floral Suite – Sneak Peek

The brand new Frosted Floral Suite is absolutely gorgeous. I love everything about it, from the stamp set and dies to the stunning pearlised DSP. It even coordinates with my favourite colours – blackberry bliss, gray granite and tranquil tide!

It is not a Christmas set in the traditional sense, but I adore the wintery feel to the floral images and of course you can make this set work throughout the year by changing the ribbons, embellishments and accessories. I just love it when you can use a suite in multiple ways!

For a first look, I decided to keep this card very simple and make it all about the DSP. The new tranquil tide velvet ribbon is so luxurious and the frosted and clear epoxy droplets compliment the suite perfectly.

The Frosted Floral Suite will be available to purchase when the new autumn/winter catalogue goes live on 5th September xx
