Shooting Stars – Another spinner card

I created this adorable card using the Shooting Star Bundle (shooting star stamp set with Slider Star Framelits Dies).  To see how to create the spinning mechanism which makes the bee spin from one side to the other, you can click here to watch my video tutorial. This stamp set with matching framelits is such an investment as there is no end to the number of interactive designs you can come up with, and of course when you buy them in a bundle, you save 10% which is even better!  I’d seen a lot of bees flying towards their bee hive, so I decided to be different and have my bee flying towards the flowers!  I stamped my flowers using the versatile Touches of Texture stamp set, in the colours pink pirouette, rose red, wisteria wonder, bermuda bay, elegant eggplant and daffodil delight.  I am in love with the leaf image from Kinda Eclectic and use this stamp whenever I can.  I stamped my leaf image multiple times in wild wasabi, and without re-inking my stamp in between to achieve the different shades of colour.  I coloured my bee in using my daffodil delight and basic black stampin write markers and then brused some gold wink of stella over the the yellow parts of the bee to make him shimmer.  My sentiment came from the same stamp set, and I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch.  Once my bee was placed into position, I scattered a few basic rhinestones into the flower centres and attached my whisper white card front to a bermuda bay mat and then to a wild wasabi card base.  The perfect summer card xx

Vertical Greetings For You

Today’s card is clean and simple using the brand new Vertical Greetings stamp set.

This set is adorable! I started by running my card front through my Big Shot using the Happy Heart textured embossing folder.  Next I took my stamp and coloured in the back in cucumber crush, early espresso & real red with my Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping and fussy cutting my image out.  I stamped my vertical sentiment from the same stamp set, also in real red, and punched it out using my Classic Label Punch.  This punch makes a great replacement for the retired Word Window punch if you missed out!  To finish, I tied some thick white baker’s twine around the front, and matted my layers to cucumber crush cardstock on a crumb cake card base.  Love love love this set, can’t wait to play some more! xx
