My cousin recently had a baby boy and Moon Baby remains my favourite welcome baby stamp set and the obvious choice for her card. This time I opted for a smoky slate, daffodil delight and bermuda bay colour way. I love the way smoky slate pairs so well with the other Stampin’ Up! colours – it’s such a great neutral. I colored my baby image using the fabulous watercolour pencils and fussy cut this out before popping it up on dimensionals to my smoky slate card front. The clouds were made from dazzling diamonds glimmer paper and punched out using the tree builder punch. I adhered some of the clouds flat and popped others up to create dimension before adding the beautiful smoky slate gingham ribbon to finish, along with a few metallic enamel shapes.
I’m loving the DSP on offer from Stampin’ Up! of late and though the foiled ones are my absolute favorite, I think the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP is so pretty and made for the perfect backdrop for this first birthday card. I especially love the crisp colour scheme of this paper.
The sentiment and roses were stamped from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and my beautiful powder pink bear comes from A Little Wild which is available in a bundle with the matching framelits. The tag itself was punched using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the number 1 was die cut from some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper using the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. I used the gorgeous powder pink shimmer ribbon and black bakers twine for the tag with some sparkly black rhinestones to complete the look.
A good friend of mine asked me to create a special Christening card for her, for her Goddaughter. I decided this would be the perfect excuse to get my fabulous new Large Letters Framelits Dies out!! I must admit I wasn’t totally sold on these dies to begin with. They’re great if you’re into scrap booking, but I don’t do a lot of that. It was actually my team members who kept talking about how fantastic these dies were, so I decided to give in to peer pressure (it doesn’t take much persuasion anyway 😉) and purchase the Letters for You Bundle. After making this card, I’m so glad that I did!
I started by running my letter dies through the Big Shot with some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. Sienna is not the shortest of names when using these large letters, which meant I had to increase the dimensions of my card. I would recommend laying your letters out before you start sticking anything, to make sure your words actually fit on your card front!
I decided on flirty flamingo as my main colour, so I used a sponge dauber to edge each letter in flirty flamingo as I wanted to give my letters some definition.
My sentiment came from All God’s Grace stamp set, and again I stamped this along with my little bird in flirty flamingo, on whisper white cardstock.
I wrapped a piece of flirty flamingo ruched ribbon around a crumb cake card front, and then adhered my letters with strips of dimensionals. I punched my sentiment out with the triple banner punch and adhered this also with dimensionals.
I adhered my bird to the top of the banner, three flowers which I stamped from Petite Petals and punched out using the Petite Petals Punch, and added pearls to the centre of each flower and a flirty flamingo enamel heart for good measure. An adorable card for the adorable baby Sienna 😘😘😘
It was my brother in law’s wedding anniversary yesterday and he asked me to create a special card for him. I absolutely love Bloomin’ Love and the occasion called for the Bloomin’ Heart thinlets dies and of course some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
I took a 5″x 5″piece of crumb cake cardstock and ran it through my big shot with the softly falling embossing folder to create the pretty background pattern. I then cut my heart out using the dies and adhered it to my card with dimensionals placed behind the position of the flowers. I cut out my flowers in glimmer paper with the same dies and edged them in rich razzleberry, rose red, wisteria wonder and bermuda bay.
I adhered these to the heart with glue dots and placed pearls in the flower centres and also in the other lacey flower shapes in the heart for some added detail. I took the banner from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and the ‘Happy Anniversary’ stamp from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and stamped them both in versamark before heat embossing them in silver. I added Wink of Stella to the banner, cut it out and adhered this across the heart. Finally I placed my card front on a silver foil mat (5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″) for added elegance, and adhered these layers to my whisper white card base (11″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded in half). Happy Anniversary James & Netty 🍾🍾🍾❤️
