A good friend of mine asked me to create a special Christening card for her, for her Goddaughter. I decided this would be the perfect excuse to get my fabulous new Large Letters Framelits Dies out!! I must admit I wasn’t totally sold on these dies to begin with. They’re great if you’re into scrap booking, but I don’t do a lot of that. It was actually my team members who kept talking about how fantastic these dies were, so I decided to give in to peer pressure (it doesn’t take much persuasion anyway 😉) and purchase the Letters for You Bundle. After making this card, I’m so glad that I did!
I started by running my letter dies through the Big Shot with some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. Sienna is not the shortest of names when using these large letters, which meant I had to increase the dimensions of my card. I would recommend laying your letters out before you start sticking anything, to make sure your words actually fit on your card front!
I decided on flirty flamingo as my main colour, so I used a sponge dauber to edge each letter in flirty flamingo as I wanted to give my letters some definition.
My sentiment came from All God’s Grace stamp set, and again I stamped this along with my little bird in flirty flamingo, on whisper white cardstock.
I wrapped a piece of flirty flamingo ruched ribbon around a crumb cake card front, and then adhered my letters with strips of dimensionals. I punched my sentiment out with the triple banner punch and adhered this also with dimensionals.
I adhered my bird to the top of the banner, three flowers which I stamped from Petite Petals and punched out using the Petite Petals Punch, and added pearls to the centre of each flower and a flirty flamingo enamel heart for good measure. An adorable card for the adorable baby Sienna 😘😘😘
It’s that Monday morning feeling, so what better way to cheer ourselves up than with another new catty sneak peek! It’s Pop of Paradise again and I can’t get enough of that beautiful flamingo. I decided to keep this birthday card to black and flirty flamingo and once I started stamping that flamingo it was difficult to stop 😉. Here’s the result.
I stamped the flamingo all over my card front to create a fun background and then stamped my central flamingo on scrap Cardstock before fussy cutting him out and elevating him on Dimensionals to make him pop. My sentiments came from Endless Birthday Wishes – I so love the beautiful font in that stamp set and it’s so versatile! I wanted to keep it striking but simple so I stamped and cut the words out before edging them in flirty flamingo and mounting them on basic black cardstock to give them a cool black border. I created the hooray banner with the fabulous triple banner punch and placed this on top of some basic black stitched satin ribbon. Love this ribbon and it is retiring so be sure to get it quick as it is only available till the 1st June. Finally, I scattered some rhinestones for a little bling and mounted my card front to a flirty flamingo mat and finally adhered this to my basic black card base. Don’t forget Pop of Paradise will be available to purchase from 1st June in the new Annual Catalogue! Hope you love this card and stamp set as much as I do ❤️❤️❤️
So the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue goes live on 1st June and it will not disappoint let me tell you. There are some beautiful new stamp sets coming your way and I’ll be sharing a few projects using them in the coming weeks! This is the first, and it showcases our brand new In Colours along with the new gorgeous Pop of Paradise stamp set! Here’s the card I created using this beautiful set:
This card features two of my favourite things: pineapples and flamingos! Don’t ask me why I love them, I just always have and apparently they are going to be BIG this season! All the new In Colours feature in the background pineapples here – flirty flamingo, emerald envy, peekaboo peach, dapper denim & sweet sugarplum. At first I wasn’t sure about them (I’m not one for change 😂) but in actual fact they are beautiful and so summery. I gold embossed the ‘thinking of you sentiment’ that comes in this Pop of Paradise stamp set and stamped and cut out my leaves. I then assembled them in the centre of my card front beneath the new gorgeous sweet sugarplum ruched ribbon and a mini gold foil doily. Finally, I placed my beautiful flirty flamingo flamingo (!) on top with dimensionals. I mounted my card front to gold foil cardstock and adhered this to my dapper denim card base. Fun & Fabulous ❤️❤️❤️
