I was asked to create a Golden Wedding Anniversary card, and here’s what I came up with.
I chose fresh fig for my card base with a vellum overlay to soften. I gold heat embossed the leaf image randomly onto the vellum for a bit of interest.
The gold background piece was created by embossing gold foil paper with the brand new tin tile dynamic Impressions embossing folder. This has to be the coolest EF I have come across to date!
I die cut the 50 from the gorgeous Petal Promenade DSP and finished with a few gold metallic pearls xx
I just love Christmas and this year, the winter Stampin’ Up! catalogue features the most stunning Christmas papers – namely the Year of Cheer Speciality DSP. I just can’t stop using it!
There are 4 designs to the Year of Cheer paper and this gold foil and white checked design is by far the boldest. The pinecones were cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and the label sentiment was stamped from the Labels to Love stamp set and gold heat embossed. The label was then punched out with the brand new Everyday Label Punch and the card assembled with some Cherry Cobbler stitched Ribbon. I love the fact that this DSP does all the hard work for me and can’t wait to design more projects using this stunning paper.
Here’s the 2nd of my sneak peek projects showcasing the fabulous Pineapple stamp from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue which will be released 1st June.
I created this card by gold embossing my smaller pineapples from the Pop of Paradise stamp set to create a rich background pattern. I then stamped my large pineapple using delightful dijon & cucumber crush. Before stamping the pineapple, I took sponge daubers to the back of the pineapple stamp and added some soft suede sponging to the body of the pineapple (over the delightful Dijon) and garden green sponging to various parts of the leaves (over the cucumber crush) to create some depth.
I splattered some gold wink of Stella over the card front and cut the stamped pineapple out before popping it up on dimensionals over some cucumber crush dotted lace ribbon and metallic gold washi tape and ribbon. Finally I mounted my top panel to gold foil card and mounted this onto a rich razzleberry card base. I stamped my thank you sentiment from Pop of Paradise, fussy cut it out and finished with some pearls. I like the combination of the rich plum and gold with the stark contrast of the green against the fresh white background. Would love to hear what you think, so please leave me a comment xx
So the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue goes live on 1st June and it will not disappoint let me tell you. There are some beautiful new stamp sets coming your way and I’ll be sharing a few projects using them in the coming weeks! This is the first, and it showcases our brand new In Colours along with the new gorgeous Pop of Paradise stamp set! Here’s the card I created using this beautiful set:
This card features two of my favourite things: pineapples and flamingos! Don’t ask me why I love them, I just always have and apparently they are going to be BIG this season! All the new In Colours feature in the background pineapples here – flirty flamingo, emerald envy, peekaboo peach, dapper denim & sweet sugarplum. At first I wasn’t sure about them (I’m not one for change 😂) but in actual fact they are beautiful and so summery. I gold embossed the ‘thinking of you sentiment’ that comes in this Pop of Paradise stamp set and stamped and cut out my leaves. I then assembled them in the centre of my card front beneath the new gorgeous sweet sugarplum ruched ribbon and a mini gold foil doily. Finally, I placed my beautiful flirty flamingo flamingo (!) on top with dimensionals. I mounted my card front to gold foil cardstock and adhered this to my dapper denim card base. Fun & Fabulous ❤️❤️❤️
