Helping Me Grow

Its been a while since I did some watercolouring, so I’m back today with a card showcasing Stampin’ Up!’s Helping me Grow photopolymer stamp set.

I started by watercolouring my background on shimmery white cardstock in mint macaron and rich razzleberry, with flecks of elegant eggplant.

I stamped the beautiful lilac image in memento black ink, and using my aqua painter, I painted the petals in elegant eggplant, and the stems in cucumber crush, which has to be my favourite green in the Stampin’ Up! colour range as it’s so lush and vibrant!

I fussy cut my lilac out (!)  – no mean feat but totally worth it, as I just love the way the flowers pop out of the card in front of the soft watercolor wash. I attached my lilac to my card panel with dimensional edging, before adhering my card front to a mint macaron mat, and then to a whisper white card base.  To finish, I added a few pearls to the top of each stem.  Really love how this card turned out, and looking forward to seeing what else I can create with this lovely stamp set xx
