Handmade Home Decor using Lovely Lipstick Foil

I have been refreshing my craft room in recent months and am totally in love with the stunning sale-a-bration Lovely Lipstick foil sheets. I love pink and this foil is just beautiful!

This home decor design is super simple but I love how few supplies you actually to need to make a beautiful addition like this to your home, and the best part is, it’s all handmade!

In person, the vibrant, lush foil looks fabulous against the crisp white background and frame. The white ornate frame is an old Heidi Swapp frame that I’ve been looking to re-purpose for some time, and I love how the bold pink words look in it.

Remember there is still time to earn this gorgeous foil paper for FREE when you place a £45 order in my online shop – but only until Sunday! xx

Frosted Floral Banner

I have LOVED this season’s Frosted Floral DSP and will miss it so much when it retires. Here in the UK, inventory is already very low so if it’s on your wish list make sure you order it soon!

I decided to make a banner with it so I can continue to admire this gorgeous paper long after it’s gone!

I chose blackberry bliss for my banner base as its a great match for the colours in my lounge and the colours of the baubles on my Christmas Tree.

One thing I haven’t used enough of until now, is that stunning tranquil tide glimmer paper. I love how elegant those large sparkly letters look in that beautiful colour way.

Really enjoyed trying my hand at some home decor for a change. Hope you like the way it turned out as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today xx

Magical Mermaid Eclipse Card

There seems to be a bit of an Eclipse Card craze going on at the moment and though a bit behind, I couldn’t wait to give this technique a try. In general the technique constitutes letters or numbers ‘lifting’ off the page with a stamped background beneath which only adds to the 3D effect.

I decided that the beautiful Magical Mermaid stamp set would create the perfect backdrop for this effect.  Once I had stamped my background, I attached the letters I wanted to cut out of my card front from the Large Letters Framelits Dies using washi tape to hold them in place and ran my card front through the Big Shot. Once the letters had been die cut, I reattached them to my card front with dimensionals to create that ‘lifting’ illusion.

I gold heat embossed the sentiment and a few mermaid images and mounted my card front to a piece of gold foil sheet and finally to a calypso coral card base.  Although I love the overall effect, I didn’t get the alignment of the letters as precise as I would have liked so would definitely pay more attention to this next time. Can’t wait to try this technique again xx

All God’s Grace

A good friend of mine asked me to create a special Christening card for her, for her Goddaughter.  I decided this would be the perfect excuse to get my fabulous new Large Letters Framelits Dies out!! I must admit I wasn’t totally sold on these dies to begin with. They’re great if you’re into scrap booking, but I don’t do a lot of that.  It was actually my team members who kept talking about how fantastic these dies were, so I decided to give in to peer pressure (it doesn’t take much persuasion anyway 😉) and purchase the Letters for You Bundle.  After making this card, I’m so glad that I did!

I started by running my letter dies through the Big Shot with some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.  Sienna is not the shortest of names when using these large letters, which meant I had to increase the dimensions of my card.  I would recommend laying your letters out before you start sticking anything, to make sure your words  actually fit on your card front!

I decided on flirty flamingo as my main colour, so I used a sponge dauber to edge each letter in flirty flamingo as I wanted to give my letters some definition.

My sentiment came from All God’s Grace stamp set, and again I stamped this along with my little bird in flirty flamingo, on whisper white cardstock.

I wrapped a piece of flirty flamingo ruched ribbon around a crumb cake card front, and then adhered my letters with strips of dimensionals.  I punched my sentiment out with the triple banner punch and adhered this also with dimensionals.

I adhered my bird to the top of the banner, three flowers which I stamped from Petite Petals and punched out using the Petite Petals Punch, and added pearls to the centre of each flower and a flirty flamingo enamel heart for good measure. An adorable card for the adorable baby Sienna 😘😘😘
