This was my first play with the Grateful Bunch stamp set, and although this turned out to be a cute card, I think there’s a lot more that can be done with this pretty stamp set. For today’s project, I wanted to keep it clean and crisp.
I stamped my leaf stem in mint macaron, and then my flowers using the brand new ombré ink pads in rich razzleberry, calypso coral and bermuda bay. These are a brand new product from Stampin’ Up! with different gradients of the same colour running through each ink pad, which when stamped should give a beautiful ombre colour effect. You can see the different tones of colour on my flowers and butterfly in this card, even though I have only used the same three ink pads the whole way through. Once I stamped my flowers, I punched them out using the matching Blossom Bunch punch. I popped the flowers and butterfly up on dimensionals before placing them on the stem to create some depth, and adhered the flowers to the right hand side of my card, flat.
To finish, I stamped my sentiment from the same set in mint macaron and cut this and the border around it out (in crumb cake) using my Lots of Labels Dies. I then wrapped some mint macaron sheer linen ribbon and some linen thread around my front panel and finished off with some metallic enamel stars on the stem for a little sparkle.
Finally, I attached my card front to a calypso coral mat and then to a crumb cake base. Although I like the simplicity of this card, I don’t think I did the ombré ink pads justice and a solid stamped image might work better to really showcase the different gradients of colour running through these gorgeous ink pads. But hope you like the card anyway! Wishing you all a good weekend, and thanks for stopping by xx
