When you’re looking to make a quick, simple card, look no further than the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die. No stamping required and such a bargain at £18.00! I watercoloured some gorgeous watercolour paper with pear pizzazz, soft sky and so saffron. This paper is so elegant and the texture really adds another dimension to a card. My ‘Happy Birthday’ was cut from some fabulous soft sky Foil Frenzy DSP. I cut out my leaf mask using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies and softly sponged my leaf images on the card. Just love how easy a card can come together with this fantastic die – just add some background interest and embellish and in moments you have yourself a beautiful birthday card.
oh So eclectic
Oh So Eclectic
I’m in love with A LOT of the new stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue, but I have to tell you, Oh So Eclectic might just be my favourite. If you were going to buy just one stamp set, this would be my absolute recommendation. It’s such a versatile stamp set and I love the different looks you can achieve by stamping and layering the images, especially when pairing the stamp set with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.
I can’t wait to get to grips with the dies in this set and have some real fun, but for my first try I decided to die cut the central pattern and use this cut out as a mask. I then sponged through the mask with powder pink, berry burst, lemon lime twist and pacific point and stamped and cut out a few leaves and flowers for added texture and dimension. I adore the ‘fresh’ look that this colour palette creates.
