Healing Hugs Thank You Card

Healing Hugs is such a versatile stamp set and I love this classic blackberry bliss and gray granite colour combination.

The copper accents work so well with the rich colour of the flowers. I’m so happy that those gorgeous leaves trinkets and the Nature’s Twine have carried over to the new Annual catalogue.

Such a simple but elegant design that came together quickly – Stampin’ Up! coordination at its finest xx

A Rainbow of Rooster Thank you cards

It was my son’s 2nd birthday on Tuesday and for once, I was super organised and made an array of thank you cards in advance!

Our note cards and envelopes are the perfect size for a thank you card, and so much more appealing when you have a batch to make – no cutting or scoring cardstock involved as it’s all done for you, easy peasy which is what I love!

I had no particular design in mind, but I was on a mission to use up some of my DSP and knew I wanted to incorporate that gorgeous ‘thanks’ die from the Well Written dies.

I’ve no idea how that adorable rooster from Wood Words entered into the picture, but I’m pleased with how the card came together in the end!

I had so much fun making them, I got completely carried away and by the end I had myself a rainbow of rooster thank you cards!!!

I used Stampin’ Write Markers to colour my rooster, and here are the colour combinations I used:

BLUE – Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana

PURPLE – Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry

PINK – Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, Lovely Lipstick

YELLOW – Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight

GREEN – Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, Call Me Clover

Love how they turned out so much, I decided to make a box to hold them all in. I mean, wouldn’t this set make a gorgeous handmade gift for someone?

Hope you like the design for these sweet cards. Pop back tomorrow to see the box I created to hold them all in xx

By the Bay

By the Bay is such a pretty stamp set. As soon as I saw the images in it, I knew I wanted to make the birds my focal point. I needed a masculine thank you card and love how elegantly this card turned out.

I used Artisan Textures to create the background interest on the stitched oval and love the soft sea foam, highland heather and blackberry bliss colour combination.

Floral Statements

I fell in love with the Floral Statements Stamp Set as soon as I spotted it in the Annual Catalogue. The big bold images are so gorgeous! I watercoloured my rose in berry burst and the leaves in pear pizzazz and old olive before fussy cutting it out and popping it up on dimensionals to my card front. I added some elegant old olive sheer ribbon and a few glitter enamel dots to embellish and attached my shimmery white card front to a berry burst mat and crumbcake card base.

Thankful Thoughts

I’m always in need of a thank you card and the Thankful Thoughts stamp set just about covers every thank you going! I particularly love this large thank you sentiment and it fits perfectly into the square stitched shapes framelits die.  I created the rainbow effect wording by colouring the back of my stamp with my Stampin’ Write markers in pumpkin pie, lemon lime twist, Bermuda bay and berry burst, and painted over the words with clear wink of stella for a little sparkle.

My gorgeous leaf was stamped and cut from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle (told you this bundle was versatile!) and I embellished with some Bermuda bay ribbon and some stunning berry burst glitter enamel dots to finish.

Remarkable You

Hi everyone! Apologies for my longer than intended hiatus but I was busy working on my own special creation 😉 – My baby boy Grayson arrived in April and he has certainly been keeping me on my toes!

But I am pleased to say I have found my way back to my craft room and am looking forward to showing you some of the projects I have been working on using the amazing products in the not so new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.  The first thing that caught my eye were the stunning new In Colours for 2017-2019. Stampin’ Up! have outdone themselves and I think these are my favourite set of In Colours for a while.  I just love the way they compliment one another.

I made these thank you cards using the gorgeous Remarkable You stamp set and the fabulous Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  I just adore the stitched effect and can’t get enough of these Dies.  I stamped the flowers in lemon lime twist, tranquil tide, fresh fig and berry burst and added some powder pink Embossing Paste in the corners using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  Oh how I love embossing paste!!! It’s messy but totally worth it. Love everything about these pretty cards including their simplicity.

Floral Phrases & The Floral Boutique Suite

I’d been waiting to play with my new Floral Phrases stamp set for what seems like ages – I’m slowly working through all my beautiful sets from the new catalogue, so bear with me!! Everything from this suite is gorgeous, including the intricate Detailed Floral Thinlets Dies which would look stunning on a wedding card! The designer series paper in this range is night of navy and whisper white which is very elegant.  But I decided to veer away from these colours for today’s project and head straight for what may well be my all time favourite SU colour – rose red!

Since all the DSP in this range is blue and white, I decided to create my own.  I took the long floral patterned image from the set and stamped it repeatedly in memento black ink.  I lined the rows up by using my stamp-a-ma-jig to guide me until my whole page was covered.  To create my roses, I coloured the back of my rose stamp in rose red and garden green Stampin’ write markers (from the regals colour collection) before stamping them and then fussy cutting my three rose images out.  Once I’d created my thank you banner using the triple banner punch, I adhered my roses on dimensionals.  I was quite pleased with the finished card and love the vibrancy of the roses against the black and white background. The rose red card base really makes them pop even more.  Would love to hear your thoughts on this card so please do leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this new set! 😘 xx
