I have been playing with watercolour techniques all week and to be honest, I have struggled!! Somedays, my watercoloured backgrounds are just as I intended, other days it’s almost as though I shouldn’t have bothered 🤦🏽♀️.
After several failed attempts at the ‘smooshing’ technique, I was left with a lot of watercoloured panels that I thought were pretty much unusable.
Then I remembered the pretty leaf patterned square die from the Tropical Thinlits Dies and realised these pieces of watercoloured cardstock could be repurposed!
The variation and tone in the watercolouring really stands out beautifully once die cut.
I wanted to make the watercoloured panels the main focal point, so I opted for a white mat and base, and I absolutely love the font of that sentiment from Tropical Chic.
I was pleased with the end result and with how the cards turned out. Just goes to show that there really aren’t any mistakes in crafting, just unique creations 😉 xx
