The moment I spotted the gorgeous Happy Ornament stamp in the brand new Autumn-Winter catalogue I fell slightly in love.
I just adore Christmas and can’t wait to put my tree up every year. In the UK, we call ornaments baubles, and mine very much resemble the colours in the one pictured above which is where my inspiration came from.
I began by running my card front through the Big Shot, using the brand new Pine Bough embossing folder which is absolutely gorgeous. I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for my bauble to hang from.
Next, I silver heat embossed my ornament stamp on shimmery white cardstock. I watercoloured my bauble using wisteria wonder, perfect plum & rich razzleberry ink using my empty wink of Stella pen filled with water as my painting brush, to give a beautiful high shimmer all over the bauble. Then I coloured in the clasp of the bauble with a silver ink gel pen, and coloured the bow in using a rich razzleberry stampin’ write marker.
Finally, I fussy cut the bauble out, placed it over one of the tree boughs to make it appear as if hanging and adhered it with dimensionals for some depth. I placed my card front on a fine bordered rich razzleberry mat, and then on a whisper white card base before scattering a few basic rhinestones. Love how simple yet beautiful this card turned out to be and can’t say enough good things about this gorgeous stamp! I also love the way the stamp incorporates the lovely Christmas sentiment as well.
Be sure to check out the brand new Stampin’ Up! catalogue released on 1st Steptember to be able to see and purchase these and many more stunning new Christmas goodies ❤️❤️❤️
